Privacy Notice

How we handle your personal data, and your rights under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

1. Who we are

DOMIGRA ("we", "us") operates this migration-intelligence platform. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. For any privacy request, contact [email protected].

2. What data we collect

Account data: if you create an account we store your name, email address and a securely hashed password (never the password itself). You can optionally add profile details, phone number, postal address, country of residence, nationality, profession and industry, the countries you want to migrate to, and your marketing and notification preferences (with the date you set them).

Information you provide: when you use the visa wizard or country matcher, request an introduction to a solicitor, subscribe to alerts or our newsletter, or apply to become a partner. This can include your name, email, profession, qualifications, budget range and destination preferences.

Information collected automatically: cookieless, privacy-preserving analytics (Plausible, self-hosted by us) measures aggregate page views for all visitors. It sets no cookies, stores no personal identifiers and does no cross-site tracking, so it runs under our legitimate interest in understanding site usage, whatever you choose in the consent banner. Google Analytics loads only after you accept analytics in the consent banner. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Approximate location: we may infer your country from your IP address to suggest a relevant currency and origin. This is processed in your browser and not stored on our servers.

3. How we use your data (and our lawful basis)

To provide the service, generating recommendations and showing relevant content (lawful basis: performance of a contract / legitimate interests).

To create and secure your account, including email verification (one-time codes) and password resets (lawful basis: performance of a contract).

To connect you with a solicitor when you request it, we share only the details you submit, and only with the firm you choose (lawful basis: consent).

To send marketing emails, alerts and newsletters you opt into (lawful basis: consent recorded against your account; you can withdraw it at any time in your account settings or by unsubscribing).

To improve the product through aggregate analytics: cookieless Plausible measurement runs for all visitors (lawful basis: legitimate interests); Google Analytics runs only after you accept it (lawful basis: consent).

4. Sharing your data

We share lead details only with the specific solicitor you ask to be introduced to. We never sell your personal data. Service providers (e.g. email delivery) act as processors under contract.

5. International transfers

Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. Wizard and matcher answers are stored in your browser (localStorage) and never leave your device unless you submit them.

If you hold an account, the profile details you save are stored on our servers for as long as your account remains open. When you close your account we delete or anonymise them, except limited records we must keep by law. One-time verification codes are short-lived and expire within minutes.

7. Your rights (UK & EU GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO).

To exercise any right, email [email protected]. You can clear locally-stored data any time by clearing this site's storage, or manage analytics consent below.

8. Cookies & local storage

We use essential local storage to remember your preferences (currency, consent choice, saved alerts). Our cookieless Plausible analytics sets no cookies at all. See our Cookie Policy for detail.

Manage your choices

Review our Cookie Policy or Terms of Use. To reset analytics consent, clear this site's data in your browser settings, and the consent banner will appear again.
