Employer-sponsored work permit with no quota. Since 1 June 2026 the salary must be at least 90% of the Swedish median (SEK 34,470 a month from 16 June 2026), or 75% for exempt shortage occupations, and meet collective-agreement terms. Permanent residence after four years on work permits is still available; EU long-term resident status now brings a renewable five-year permit instead (since 12 July 2026).
